I've only been a member since 2006 and joined when I moved into the village, since then I've found the forum to be a great source of information and general chat. ...

Re: Higher Culcheth ?

As a resident in the so called 'higher culcheth' area I have to smile at the mortgage comment, but looking around at some of my near neighbours I'm not sure that they have spelt higher correctly, they got the 'e' but missed out the 'b'; 'l'; 'p' & 's' out! I think they have mixed up loca...

I would think that a high percentage of posters on here, including myself, have passed well into the second half of their century :-)

Re: Problems with broadband

we've been suffering with poor line speed <3meg for a while (top end of culcheth near golf course) until a week or so ago when we got a new router. just done a speed test and average is 13.7meg [range 10meg to 16.7meg during test]

no other change just a new wireless router!

Re: Diggle Green Waste Facility

This composting site is actually doing a great job of reducing the amount of bio-mass sent to land fill or just burnt, the end product is used widely by farmers and if it follows other sites the end product will at some point be available to purchase by gardeners for their own use. I think we should...

Re: Culcheth website re-write planned

Hi Phantom.
I tend to use the portal mostly, as the content of the main site tends to be fairly static, only changing now and then.

Re: HS2 E-Petition

They tell me I'm middle aged! in which case I'm on for living until 110! 20 years is way too long to wait, fast track (no pun) the planning and start the building at both ends, lets get this done in under 5 years.

Re: HS2

Actually looking at the maps most of the linear park is missed, same cannot be said for Taylors Business park and the new football fields though! It goes staight through them.
